Description
These are two town houses, likely dating from the 18th century. They are built with a render finish over stone rubble and cob, with a mix of scantle slate on the left side and asbestos slate on the right, topped with brick chimneys at the gable ends. Originally designed with a central staircase and two rooms, the houses have been altered. Number 6 now has a single room to the right of the passage, while Number 7 features two rooms, a central passage, and a long extension. The front of the building has five windows. Number 7 has a 20th-century front door and flanking bay windows with glazing bars in widened openings. The original door was likely where the door now sits, and window two is potentially in the original door position. Number 6 has a 20th-century door in what was originally a window, with a 19th-century barred overlight and a 16-pane hornless wooden sash window to the right. All first-floor windows are 16-pane hornless wooden sashes, with one in a slightly larger opening. The interiors were not inspected. The houses are included on the list for their group value.
