Description

This cider house, dating to around the 18th century, stands 5 metres to the west of Great Treheer Farmhouse. It’s constructed of rubblestone and has a slate roof with a gabled end to the left and a projecting range on the right. The building follows an L-shaped plan. It is a single-storey structure, featuring a double timber door in the centre of the left-hand range and another door within the gable end of the right-hand wing. A complete screw press is located within the right-hand wing, and it is dated and signed 'E Moor 1788 E Fect'.
