Description
This is an 18th-century granite ashlar monument located approximately 4 meters north of the north transept of the Church of St Breaca in Breage. The monument features a pedimented front with a triangular pediment and an integral buttress with moulded set-offs behind it. There is a slate inset that is now loose, which bears an inscription facing west. The inscription commemorates Nicholas Cornish, who died in 1793 at the age of 80, and his wife Ann, who died in 1794 at the age of 72. This monument closely resembles the Carter monument also found in the churchyard.
