Description

This structure consists of a pair of gate piers and flanking walls located 100 meters south of Skisdon, dating from the 18th century. The gate piers are made of granite and are slender, with a square plan, featuring curved necks and uniquely shaped caps topped with ball finials. The right-hand pier may have been renewed. The flanking quadrant walls are constructed from granite ashlar and have moulded granite coping, ending in larger granite ashlar terminal piers that also have pyramid caps and ball finials.
