Description

The Peace Memorial stands on Grenville Road, Lostwithiel. Constructed in 1902, it is built of granite. The memorial consists of a square granite base with a plinth featuring a moulded top. Rising from the plinth is a short, square obelisk, approximately one metre high. A granite spout is fed into the plinth. An inscription on the plinth's top in uppercase lettering reads "PEACE MEMORIAL S190ZA, for The Boer War," with the initials JW and FWS carved on the side.
