Description

The boundary wall, gate-piers, and gates at Point Neptune were built around the 1860s for William Rashleigh of Menabilly. The structure features a tall coursed slate wall with granite-capped piers at regular intervals. The main carriageway is marked by large rusticated granite piers that have prominent caps inscribed with the name "Point Neptune." The gates are made of elaborate cast iron, each adorned with a wheel motif and spear-head finials. This boundary wall and its gates are an important feature that enhances the setting of Point Neptune.
