Description

St Catherine's Castle is the remnant of a small, early 16th-century harbour defence castle situated on the headland overlooking the western side of Fowey harbour's mouth. Built as part of Henry VIII’s fortifications of the south coast, it was restored in 1855. The castle is constructed of stone rubble and comprises a single, round, squat tower.
