Description

The Cock tomb, located approximately 40 metres north of the Church of St Michael in Helston, is a chest tomb dating from the 18th century. It was created by James of Helston and commemorates Honor Cock, who died on 6th May 1761 at the age of 61. She was the daughter of John Williams, a gentleman who served as a Magistrate of the Borough for many years. The tomb is made of granite ashlar and features a moulded lid cornice, with a rectangular shape.
