Description
This listing describes a group of three chest tombs located approximately 1 meter east of the chancel of the Church of St Breaca in Breage. These tombs date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are arranged closely together, with their sides parallel and oriented east-west. There are no decipherable inscriptions on any of the tombs.
The southernmost chest features coursed granite sides, a moulded granite lid, and a broken inscribed limestone slab on top. The middle chest has dressed granite slab sides and an inscribed slate slab set between them. The northern chest is a double tomb with dressed granite monolith sides and round-headed ends, which are connected by iron staples.
