Description
There are four chest tombs located approximately 10 meters southeast of the Church of St Budock, dating from the early 19th century. They are made of dressed freestone and granite and are all rectangular in shape. The chest tomb farthest from the church is inscribed to Richard Longfield, while the other tombs have inscriptions that are difficult to read. The Longfield chest features pilaster corners and oval panels on the sides. The chest immediately northeast of the Longfield tomb has scalloped panels on the sides and a moulded lid, and the next chest is similar in design. The final chest, made by Floyd of Truro, displays Gothic details on the sides and has a disintegrating inscribed oval plaque on the lid.
