Description

The Sampson tomb, located approximately 5 metres south of the south-west corner of the Church of Saint Crewenna in Crowan, is a Grade II listed headstone with an enclosed tomb, dating from 1812. It features a dressed granite tomb border and a round-headed granite headstone. At the west end, there is an incised slate insert inscribed to Richard Sampson, who died in 1812 at the age of 60.
