Description

The Dunstone tomb, located approximately 60 metres north of the Church of Saint Crewen, is a headstone with a fenced tomb dating from 1842. It features a chamfered dressed granite border topped with ornate wrought iron stanchions and a twisted iron rail in between. At the east end, there is a round-headed granite headstone that includes a loose rectangular slate insert. The inscription on the slate commemorates Thomas Dunstone, who died on December 1st, 1842, aged 54, and his wife Dorothy, who died on April 28th, 1842, aged 51.
