Description
This is a chimney located approximately 10 metres south of the stamps engine house for Wheal Basset Mine, which is now derelict. It was likely built around 1868 and is constructed from uncoursed granite rubble with some brick. The chimney has a tapered cylindrical shape and lacks a cornice at the stone stage, with most of the brick upper stage now missing. It is part of a group of structures that are prominently situated on the northern slope of Carnmenellis.
