Description

This is a Grade II listed chimney that was part of a former stone crusher at a tin mine, now in a derelict state. It was built in 1888 for Wheal Basset Mine. The chimney is made of coursed granite rubble and has a tapered cylindrical shape, although it is now missing its former brick upper stage. It is included for its group value with the nearby engine houses to the west and the West Basset stamps to the north-west.
