Description
The boundary and garden walls to Pendeen Lighthouse are constructed of coursed granite rubble, featuring ashlar quoining and dressed segmental copings. The walls to the west are battered and serve as retaining walls, while the north side has pyramidal piers that flank the main driveway to the house. To the east, there are three flights of steps that ascend through steeply-sloping ground to three walled gardens. These walls are an essential part of the complex associated with the lighthouse at Pendeen and indicate that the cap of the headland was removed and flattened to create the site.
