Description

This is a medieval cross located 400 metres to the east of West Carne. It is made from granite and features a rectangular plan shaft with a wheelhead, both carved from a single piece of granite. The shaft is unmoulded, and one face of the wheelhead is also unmoulded. The cross is partially embedded in a stone hedge, and the rear face of the wheelhead displays a raised Latin or Maltese cross.
