Description
These are two headstones located 10 to 11 meters south of the south transept of the Church of St Wenna. The first headstone commemorates Stephen Sleep, who died in 1749. It is made of slate, features a nowy head with curved shoulders, and is incised with figures, including Death the Reaper holding an hourglass. The inscription indicates that Stephen Sleep was the schoolmaster of Morval. The second headstone honors Daniel Olver, who died in 1795, and his son James. This headstone is also made of slate and has a nowy head, with an inscription in serif font and a verse below.
