Description

This is a barn located about 20 metres north of Tonacombe Manor, dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed from stone rubble, partly rendered, and features a corrugated iron roof that is gabled at both ends, having been formerly thatched. The barn is long and has an entrance on the east gable end, accessed through double timber doors beneath a timber lintel. On the south side, there are two ventilators in the center and a blocked opening to the right. The north side has five entrances. Inside, there are variations in floor level, with cobbled floors that include open gutters. The roof trusses have been repaired, and the mortised collars are missing.
