Description

40 and 42 North Street are early to mid-19th century stone rubble cottages that stand two storeys tall. They feature two widely spaced sash windows, each with segmental brick arches and glazing bars. The door of No 42 is a modern glazed design, while No 40 has a panelled door with a rectangular fanlight above it. The cottages are topped with a slate roof. They are included for their group value, as they form a cohesive group with Nos 32 to 42 (even).
