ST TUDY CHURCHTOWN, St Tudy SX 0676-0776 8/206 Pump and trough 40 metres to north east of Church of St Uda

GV II

Village-pump and trough. Circa mid C19. Cast iron pump with granite trough directly to the south. The pump has a fluted domed cap with a finial and a gadrooned spout overhanging the trough. The trough is of an unusual shape with a rectangular basin and a narrow drainage or outlet channel on the south side. The channel has been extended in concrete allowing excess water to drain away. The pump was on the north-east side of the village green before C20 road alterations.
