Description

There are two headstones located 10 metres to the northwest of the southeast corner of the churchyard of the Church of St Materiana. The headstones commemorate John Wade, who died in 1794, and Mary Wade, the wife of Stephen Wade, who died in 1807. Both headstones are made of slate and are rectangular in shape. The headstone for John Wade features upper and lower case lettering with serifs, while the headstone for Mary Wade has an inscribed panel with similar lettering.
