Tregidden Millhouse And Adjoining Barn On North

Tregidden Millhouse and the adjoining barn are likely from the 18th century. The millhouse is constructed of rubble stone, featuring granite lintels, quoins, and window dressings, topped with a slate roof that is hipped at the right end and gabled at the left. It has brick stacks at both ends and an L-shaped plan with a wing at the rear. The building is two stories tall and has an almost symmetrical two-window front. The central doorway is blocked, and a 12-pane fixed window has been inserted. On either side of the doorway are two 2-light horizontal sliding sashes, each with 9 panes. On the first floor, there is a modern 2-light casement window to the left and a 2-light sliding sash window with 6 panes in each light to the right.

The adjoining barn on the left gable end is made of whitewashed rubble and has a slate roof with a gabled end. It features brick segmental arches over its openings and is asymmetrical with two stories. The entrance is in the center and has a 20th-century timber door. To the left is a boarded window, and to the right are external stone steps leading to the first floor. There is a partly glazed door on the first floor to the right, with a 20th-century window above the ground floor door that does not have glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
