Chimney. c1863. Pennant rubble with brick dressings. A round chimney has a plinth with a semicircular brick flue arch, and a coping of blue engineering bricks. A pronounced lean. Probably part of William Butler's Tar Works, founded 1863, to which it was linked by a flue running up the hillside. A prominent landmark.
