Description
This gas lamp post, located approximately 20 metres north-west of Number 29 on Great George Street in Bristol, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a moulded base with foliate decoration. The fluted shaft includes a switch bar, and it has been fitted with a late 20th-century square lantern. The lamp post has been converted to electricity.
