Description
This is a gas lamp post located approximately 4 metres west of number 18 in Canynge Square, Clifton, Bristol. It dates from the mid-19th century and is made of cast iron. The lamp post features a foliate base and a reeded shaft, with bracketed switch bars on each side. It has a flared glass lamp topped with a round finial and is still lit by gas.
