Description
No. 62 Colston Street is an attached house that has been converted into a shop and office. It dates from the early 18th century and features a stuccoed timber frame, with a left-hand brick chimney stack and a pantile hipped mansard roof. The building has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a single window range on the front.
The 19th-century shop front includes a central recessed doorway that has a two-panel door with strap hinges, a reeded transom, and a panel above featuring a medallion, along with a fascia and cornice. The shop front also has plate-glass windows. The first floor has 6/6-pane sash windows set in a flush frame, which is recessed above, and there is a hipped dormer with casement windows that include glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
