Description
Numbers 302 and 304 are a pair of houses, originally built around 1730 and later divided in the early 19th century. They are stucco-faced with limestone and Pennant stone dressings, featuring a brick party wall and a double Roman half-hipped mansard roof. The houses were designed with a double-depth plan and are in an early Georgian style. They are three storeys high, with an attic and cellar, and have a five-window front. Initially, the front was intended to be symmetrical, with rusticated pilaster strips and moulded string courses extending from the neighbouring property at Number 306. A moulded parapet coping tops the building. A pair of 19th-century doorways are positioned centrally, featuring jambs with wide reeds, corner quatrefoils, and Greek key lintels, leading to six-panel doors with glazed upper panels. The windows, separated by the division between the properties, have ashlar keys and horned plate-glass sashes in exposed frames. Two raking dormers light the attic. The rear elevation showcases Pennant rubble string courses, a projecting two-story extension which overlaps with Number 306, and a semicircular arched window. The interior has not been inspected. The property includes attached front area walls and capped piers.
