Description
No. 3 Middle Avenue is a house, now used as an office, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and render, with the roof not visible. The building has a single-depth plan and is internally linked to No. 56 Queen Square. It is designed in a late Georgian style, featuring two storeys and a basement, with a two-window range. The symmetrical front includes a left-hand pilaster strip leading to a moulded coping and a plat band. The central doorway has a raised surround with consoles supporting a pedimented lintel, along with a plate-glass overlight and a four-panel door. The windows are 6/6-pane sashes, and there is a low left-hand segmental-arched basement hatch. The interior was remodelled in the late 20th century.
