Description

A pair of houses located at 97 and 99 Whiteladies Road, Clifton, Bristol, built in the early to mid-19th century. The buildings are now shops and offices. They are constructed of limestone ashlar with party wall stacks, and the roof is not visible. The buildings follow a double-depth plan. Each house is two storeys high with an attic and has a two-window frontage. 19th-century shops project forward, occupying the space of the original front gardens. The design incorporates slim recesses at the party walls, a modillion cornice, and moulded coping to the attic storey. The first-floor windows have eared architraves and cornices, while the second-floor windows have architraves. The windows are sash windows, with 6/6 panes on the first floor and 3/3 panes in the attic. The interiors have not been inspected.
