Description

This is a pair of attached houses, now combined into a single house and shop, located on Lower Park Row in Bristol. The building likely originated in the 16th century, but was largely rebuilt in the 19th century and restored in 1992. The front is rendered, with brick side stacks and a pantile roof. Originally two single-cell houses, they feature a central basement doorway, a right-hand entrance door, and 19th-century shop windows between. Above, the first floor contains plate-glass sash windows set in exposed frames. Small curved brackets support a small canopy over the right-hand doorway. The rear elevation has a raking dormer to the left and a central dormer between the stacks. The interior includes enclosed, winding rear stairs and diagonal-braced timber framing.
