Description
A terrace of six houses at 22-32 Park Street, Bristol, built in 1762 and completed around 1775, designed by Thomas Paty. The buildings are constructed of limestone ashlar with party wall stacks and a pantile mansard roof. They follow a double-depth plan and are in a late Georgian style. Each house is three storeys high with an attic, featuring a three-window range. Some of the buildings have 20th-century shop fronts, with pilasters extending from the cornices of the adjacent properties. The windows are primarily 6/6-pane sashes with horns, and plate-glass replacements, with dormers in the attic. The interior of the buildings has not been inspected. Park Street was developed from the base of the slope, extending upwards to Great George Street by 1773. Originally, the ground floors were rusticated, similar to number 51 Park Street.
