Description
Monica Wills Chapel is a chapel built around 1930 by Sir G Oatley, located in Stoke Bishop, Bristol. The structure features limestone ashlar and a tiled roof, with an apsidal nave, a northeast vestry, and a south chapel. The chapel has a semicircular full-height apse supported by two buttresses topped with scrolled brackets. The north elevation is divided into four bays, similar to the east end, and includes two 10-light clerestory wheel windows above semicircular headed 2-light nave windows, with the south side mirroring this design. The west door is framed by four square-section semicircular arches set in a projecting panel, which has brackets at the top, and is topped by a wheel window in a square frame. Inside, the chapel features plasterwork with a semicircular chancel arch and a nave consisting of two bays with a quadripartite vault, as well as a west gallery.
