Description

No. 9, All Saints Road is a mid-19th century house located on the south east side of All Saints Road, Clifton, Bristol. It is one of a pair of houses, designed to be mirrored with No. 11. The building is constructed of squared Pennant rubble with limestone dressings, and features lateral stacks and a hidden roof. It follows a double-depth plan and is in an Italianate style. The house is three storeys high, with a two-window range. The exterior features rusticated pilasters, bands for the sills and lintels, a panelled frieze, and overhanging eaves supported on stone brackets. The right-hand side has 20th-century doors set within a segmental arch. The windows have detached banded columns on plinths supporting semicircular rere arches, with foliate spandrels, cornices, and carved lintels. The left-hand side has canted bays with four lights, while the remaining windows are paired sash windows with plate glass. Slate panels are positioned below the ground-floor windows. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
