Description
This early 19th-century manor house, now a hall of residence, was altered in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and render, with a hidden roof. The design is in a late Georgian style, with a three-story, five-window facade. The central three-window section projects forward and features ground-floor semicircular-arched recesses, a cornice, and a parapet, with a similar arch over a 20th-century door on the right. French windows are present, accompanied by first-floor wrought-iron basket balconies. The left-hand section has a late 19th-century three-window bay with architraves and a central doorway with a cornice and parapet, incorporating 6/6-pane sash windows. The interior has been much altered and was not inspected. Attached to the rear are cast-iron railings. The front terrace is accessed by central double steps made of squared coursed Pennant stone, and has good wrought-iron railings featuring leaves and a central semicircular-arched panel.
