Description

Nos 119 and 121, East Howe Lane, also known as Primrose Cottages, are an asymmetrical pair of thatched cottages dating from approximately 1800 and earlier. Number 119 is constructed of red brick, with two storeys and a stringcourse. It features two ogee-headed Gothick casement windows on each floor, with eyebrow dormers above the windows, and a chimneystack on the gable end. Number 121 has a buff brick front, and its entrance is shared with Number 119, featuring an 8-panel door with six fielded panels and two glazed panels. This cottage also has two windows, with shallow segment-headed openings leading to the door and windows. The north gable is half-hipped, with half-timber framing infilling red brick. Nos 119 and 121 are grouped together.
