Description
Pelhams is a tall white stucco mansion built in 1793. It has three storeys and is three windows wide, featuring original glazing bars on the sashes. The building has a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and two abort chimneys with cornices. An elegant semi-circular porch is supported by two Tuscan columns and pilasters, flanking a round-arched doorway that has concave jambs and an arch, with a plain tympanum infilled above the door. At the rear, there is an arched window on the first floor center with arched glazing bars. Modern extensions have been added to the sides and rear for the Community Centre, and the older south wing was demolished around 1950.
