Description

This is a house, likely with a core dating to the 18th century, and later altered in the 1830s. It is constructed of squared and coursed rubble with ashlar dressings, copings, and slate roofs, featuring end stone stacks. The house has a double-depth plan, incorporating an earlier cottage at the rear.

The exterior is two storeys high, with a symmetrical three-window front and a lower, single-window range behind. It has a shallow-pitched gabled roof. The windows are mullioned, with paired small-pane casements, except for the single-light window above the central doorway. A panelled door is set in a plain surround.

The interior has not been inspected.

The early 19th-century addition may be contemporary with the construction of the Bath to Bristol turnpike, which was founded in 1832.
