Barn About 30 Metres East Of Priston Mill

This is a barn located about 30 metres east of Priston Mill, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with pantile roofs that feature raised coped verges. The barn consists of 10 bays and has a gabled design with finials. The western side is marked by a full-height, lean-to double cart entry that has a pair of segmental-headed lintels. To the left of this entry, there is a door with a segmental head and a keystone, which is flanked by triangular-headed breathers. Further to the left, there is a lower later wing. On the eastern side, there is a large central very flat segmental-headed opening. To the left of this opening, there are inserted openings that are obscured by an adjacent 20th-century barn. To the right, there is a segmental-headed window, followed by a lower, later wing that is not of special interest.
