Description

This milestone, located about 100 metres southwest of Stoke Villice, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of limestone and features a cast iron plate. The stone has a round head, and the plate has a shaped head with the inscription "8 MILES TO BRISTOL." At the time of the survey in December 1984, the milestone was noted to be in poor condition.
