Description

The obelisk, believed to be a marker for waterworks, dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar, featuring a square plinth made of rusticated V-jointed ashlar that stands about one metre high. The obelisk itself rises to approximately 10 metres and has a pyramidal top with small openings on two sides. The stonework shows significant weathering.
