Description

The Methodist Chapel, built in the mid to late 19th century, features random limestone rubble with stone dressings and a hipped slate roof that has brick eaves stacks and crestings. The building has an irregular plan. The gable end projecting to the left includes a Venetian window with a keystone and a stone surround that is recessed from the wall. The window has a circle in the glazing bars at the top and applied timberwork in the gable end, along with bracketed eaves, bargeboards, and a finial. There is a bellcote on the ridge. To the right, there is a round-headed window with similar glazing bars and an attached porch that has a double door and sidelights, featuring a similar gable end. The right side of the building has a porch block at ground floor level, which includes a 3-light window with flat stone mullions and plate glass sashes, as well as a gable with bargeboards and a finial. Above this, there are two round-headed windows with splayed glazing bars. The left side has two similar round-headed windows. The rear of the chapel has a door and two round-headed windows, with the left window featuring metal replacement glazing bars, along with another door. The rear of the porch has a similar 2-light window. The interior has not been inspected.
