CRESCENT LANE (South side) No.16 05/08/75

GV II

Coach house and stable block, now kitchen wing to Dower House (No.15). Mid C19 street front. Late C18 garden front and altered late C20. MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar with hipped slate roofs. PLAN: U-plan with projecting forward wings to street facade. EXTERIOR: Two storeys, four-window range. Two windows to first floor fronts of projecting wings and two facing each return to courtyard, two windows to ground floor left and one window to ground floor right. Courtyard is covered by C20 lean-to roof and fronted by gatepiers with C20 gates. Garden front has coped parapet, cornice, plate glass sash window to first floor left and blind window to right. Central C20 door has moulded architrave and pediment on shaped consoles. INTERIOR: Not inspected.
