Description

No. 5 Church Street is a shop dating from around 1800, which was repaired in 1990. The building is constructed from timber and glass and is a single-storey structure. Its exterior features a small paned bow window with seven panes over four, and a right-hand part-glazed panelled door topped with a fanlight that has a St Andrew cross and a central lozenge. The glazing bars and door were replaced in 1990. The interior has not been inspected. The shop has been occupied by Frederick Tranter, a long-established tobacconist in Bath, since 1990, having previously operated at No. 3 Stall Street for many years.
