Description

This is a row of four terraced houses located on Bloomfield Road, built in the late 18th century and the mid-19th century, with later 19th-century additions. The terrace appears to be incomplete, with toothing at either end suggesting that more houses were originally planned for the site. The main facade faces west, on a sloping hillside.

The houses are three storeys high, with an attic and a lower ground floor. The west front features a variety of sash windows, typically two windows per house. Nos. 110 and 112 have twelve-pane sashes, while the others mostly feature four-pane sashes. Each house has a dormer window; No. 110 has paired sashes, and No. 114 has a single sash. A modern chimney stack is located between Nos. 110 and 112. The exterior is characterised by a broad band at the first floor level, a small cornice, a blocking course, and a parapet. The party walls and gable ends are coped, and there are five substantial ashlar stacks. The north gable end is plain, while the south gable shows exposed openings related to a planned, but unbuilt, unit.

Mid-19th century porch additions are present on the Bloomfield Road frontage, where the window arrangement is more varied. No. 108 has a sash dormer, four-pane sashes, and a three-story square porch with arched lights, keystones, impost bands, and a fielded six-panel door with a plain fanlight. The upper levels have moulded cornices. No. 110 features a sash dormer, sixteen-pane sashes, and a two-story square porch with a panelled door, moulded cornice on consoles, and five stone steps. No. 112 has a 20th-century dormer and a three-story square porch with a panelled door and sidelights. No. 114 has a plain dormer, twelve and four-pane sashes, a hipped porch, and a grated basement window. A late 19th-century addition is located to the left.

The interiors have not been inspected.
