Description

This ornamental bridge, located 50 metres north of Harptree Court, dates from the early 19th century and is likely designed by C.H. Masters of Bath. The bridge features an ashlar balustrade and a spanning arch made of coursed and squared dressed stone. It has rectangular corner posts adorned with large paterae on each face, a moulded handrail, and turned balusters, which are separated by plain piers to form four sections. Some of the balusters on the north side have been replaced with 20th-century versions.
