Description
Bassett Farm Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century, with an extension added to the right in the 19th century. The building is constructed of rubble with freestone quoins and dressings, topped with a double Roman tiled roof featuring coped raised verges. It has ashlar stacks with moulded caps. The cottage is single storey with attics, characterized by three coped stone gables that have finials. On the ground floor, there are four casement windows, two of which are 2-light and two are 3-light, all set in ovolo moulded surrounds and beneath dripmoulds, with the right-side windows being from the 19th century. A 19th-century door is located to the right, sheltered by a hood.
