Description
Brook Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with an addition from the late 17th to early 18th century on the east side. It is constructed of squared and coursed rubble, featuring stone dressings, copings, and a double Roman tile roof. The building is two storeys high, with the original 17th-century left wing having four windows, while the later extension on the right has two windows.
The 17th-century wing includes four-light ovolo mullion windows with flush relieving arches on the ground floor and three-light ovolo mullions on the upper floor, all fitted with 19th-century casements. The later right-hand wing has one four-light ovolo mullion window on the ground floor and two three-light ovolo mullions above, also with 19th-century casements. A glazed, gabled porch from the 20th century is located on the right-hand wing, featuring a partially glazed panelled door. The farmhouse has three brick stacks and a newel staircase projection at the rear of the left-hand wing, positioned at the northeast corner.
