Description

Tennis Court Farmhouse is a house dated 1764, with a later addition to the roadside. It is built of rubble with stone dressings, with rendered side walls and a double Roman tile roof. The south front has three windows and is two storeys and an attic in height. All windows are 3-light, chamfered mullion windows with 20th-century aluminium glazing, except for the central upper window, which has two lights. Continuous dripmoulds run along the ground and first floors. The central doorway has a chamfered architrave, a flat hood supported by carved brackets, and a partially glazed 20th-century door. A datestone is positioned above the central upper window. The house has reconstituted stone stacks. This building is listed for its group value.
