Description

Jeffreys Lodge is a detached house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with colourwashed render to the front, and features ashlar copings and a gabled roof covered with single-Roman tiles, topped with gable-end ashlar stacks. The building has a single-depth plan with a rear service wing.

The south front is symmetrical, with three windows per floor. All windows are small-pane paired casements in original 18th-century openings, featuring sills. A square, projecting porch with a part-glazed panelled inner door is centrally located. A two-storey service wing has late 19th-century paired casement windows. The interior was not inspected.

Despite the substantial 19th-century alterations, the house remains a tall and imposing feature within the streetscape.
