Description

This description covers a pair of gatepiers, railings, outer piers, and flanking quadrant walls at Newton Park, dating from the 18th century. The gatepiers are tall and made of panelled ashlar, featuring moulded caps. The decorative wrought iron railings and the inner openwork iron piers both include cresting and acanthus capitals on the piers. The flanking quadrant walls are constructed of rubble and are designed to sweep up towards the gatepiers.
